Schelde Blauw
Cobalt held in a quieter register.
Cobalt glaze on handmade ceramic tile, photographed on Carrara marble.
The surface reads saturated yet calm, with mineral bloom, edge pooling, and small shifts in density that remain visible at close range.
It carries the depth of cobalt without settling into a flat industrial blue, keeping the hand within the finished field.

Material Context
Cobalt surface shown against Belgian stone.
Against Belgian stone, the glaze reads more architectural, with the handmade edge and slight tonal shift easier to register from tile to tile.
Even within one glaze family, surface movement remains natural and each tile stays distinct within the batch.

Suited to regular interior use with a calm cleaning routine.
Flat glazed surfaces can generally be cleaned with a soft sponge or cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaning product.
Avoid abrasive pads, harsh scrubbing, and cleaning products with high acidity or high alkalinity. When stronger cleaning is necessary, test it first on a discreet area.
Glaze Composition
An in-house glaze system, held within a ceramic body.
This surface is formed from a ceramic body and an in-house glaze system containing selected fluxes, glass-forming materials, opacifiers, colorants, and mineral additions. Visible shifts in tone, edge character, and glaze movement belong to the work and are not considered defects. Exact formulations remain proprietary.
Inquiry
Project requests are handled directly.
Delivery and batch timing are discussed upon request. Projects are ideally discussed at least 8 weeks in advance, and selected samples remain available for active projects.
Early reservation is recommended for preferred glaze selection and batch planning. Larger commissions should be reserved in advance due to drying and firing schedules.
